Chinese Shrimp

Ingredients
  Raw shrimp 3 Pound
  Cooking oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Mushrooms 1⁄2 Pound, sliced
  Green onion with tops 4 , sliced
  Soy sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Chicken stock/Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Monosodium glutamate 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Water 2 Tablespoon
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Hot cooked rice 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Wash and shell shrimp and remove veins.
Heat oil in heavy skillet, add mushrooms and onions and cook gently until onions are golden.
Add shrimp, soy sauce, chicken stock or water and monosodium glutamate.
Cover and simmer until shrimp are tender, about 10 minutes.
Stir occasionally.
Blend 2 tbsp.water and cornstarch until smooth and stir in gradually.
Cook until thickened and clear.
