Chinese Style Vegetable Medley

Ingredients
  Green cabbage head 1 Small
  Shortening 1 Tablespoon
  Celery 1 Cup (16 tbs), thin diagonally sliced
  Green pepper 1 Medium, cut into thin diagonal slices
  Chopped onion 2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Pepper 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

Prepare 3 cups finely shredded cabbage .
Heat shortening in medium skillet.
Add vegetables and stir.
Cover; steam 5 minutes or until crisp-tender, stirring several times.
Add salt and pepper.
If desired, stir in 1 tablespoon soy sauce.
