Sugary Chinese Chews
|Packed brown sugar/Null||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Null)|
|Chopped walnuts/Null||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Null)|
|Cut up dates/Null||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Null)|
|Vanilla/Null||1 Teaspoon (Null)|
|Sifted all purpose flour/Null||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (Null)|
|Baking powder/Null||1 Teaspoon (Null)|
|Granulated sugar/Null||2 Tablespoon (Null)|
Heat oven to 350 degrees.
Grease a 13 x 9 1/2 x 2-inch oblong pan.
Beat eggs and sugar well.
Add walnuts, dates and vanilla.
Blend in flour and baking powder, sifted together.
Spread in prepared pan.
Bake about 20 minutes or until top springs back when lightly touched in centre.
Cut, while hot, in small oblongs and shape with hands into tiny rolls.
Roll in granulated sugar.
