Orange Flavored Beef

Ingredients
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Beef chuck roast 3 Pound
  Cilantro leaves 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Orange juice 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Japanese soy sauce 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Dark brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Star anise 2
  Ginger root slices 2 , smashed (1/8 Inch Thick)
  Orange peel 1 Teaspoon, freshly grated
  Green onion 1 , cut in half
  Dry white wine 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Prepare Orange-Flavored Master Sauce.
Heat a wok or medium-size saucepan over medium-high heat 1 minute.
Add oil.
When oil is hot, add beef; saute on all sides.
Add Orange-Flavored Master Sauce.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low.
Cover pan and simmer beef 1-1/2 hours or until tender.
Cool beef in sauce.
Remove and discard star anise, gingerroot and green onion.
Cut beef in paper-thin slices.
Arrange slices overlapping on a serving platter.
Garnish with cilantro.
Reheat sauce and serve with beef, if desired.
