Chinese Dipping Sauce

Ingredients
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cornstarch 2 Tablespoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Hot water 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Light soy sauce 3 Tablespoon
  Cayenne powder 1 Pinch
Directions

Combine sugar, cornstarch, and salt in small saucepan with 1/4 cup hot water.
Stir to make a smooth paste.
Gradually add 1 3/4 cups hot water, stirring constantly.
Add soy sauce and cayenne.
Place over medium high heat, stirring constantly until sauce boils and thickens slightly.
Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
