Chinese Chew

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  White sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg yolks 2 , beaten
Directions

Mix ingredients together like shortbread.
It will be very dry and crumbly.
Spread over bottom of a pan 8"x10" or little larger.
Sprinkle with chopped walnuts.
Beat whites of 2 eggs very stiff, and add 1 cup brown sugar.
Spread over walnuts.
Cook in slow oven 30 minutes.
