Deep Fried Bamboo Shoots

I am on a spree of checking out all sorts of fried recipes and this Deep Fried Bamboo Shoots is one among them. This particular Deep Fried Bamboo Shoots recipe did turn out exceptionally nice. Do give it a try!
Ingredients
  Bamboo shoots 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cornstarch 1 Tablespoon
  Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Water 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Oil 2 Tablespoon
Directions

1. Cut bamboo shoots in strips as for french-fried potatoes.
2. Heat oil and deep-fry bamboo shoots until pale golden. Drain on paper toweling.
3. Blend cornstarch, sugar and cold water.
4. Heat remaining oil. Add bamboo shoots; stir-fry to heat through. Sprinkle with soy sauce and blend in.
5. Then stir in cornstarch paste to thicken and serve at once.
