Sweet And Sour Sauce With Vegetables

Sweet And Sour Sauce is a seafood sauce. The combination of cornstarch, soy sauce and vinegar makes the Sweet And Sour Sauce a prefect seafood sauce. Sweet And Sour Sauce is used to prepare different seafood recipe.
Ingredients
  Carrots 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), sliced
  Green pepper 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Catsup 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs), divided
  Cornstarch 3 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Vinegar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Unsweetened pineapple chunks 15 1⁄4 Ounce, drained (1 can)
Directions

Cook carrots in small amount of boiling water 1 to 2 minutes; add green pepper, and cook an additional 1 minute.
Drain and rinse vegetables in cold water.
Combine sugar, catsup, soy sauce, salt, and 2/3 cup water in a saucepan; bring to a boil.
Dissolve cornstarch in 1/3 cup water to make a paste.
Gradually add cornstarch paste and vinegar to sauce mixture; cook, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.
Stir in pineapple and vegetables.
