Chinese Five-Spice Chicken
|Broiler fryer chicken||4 Pound, cut into pieces|
|Soy sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic||1 Clove (5 gm), crushed|
|Minced ginger||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground allspice||1⁄4 Teaspoon, crushed|
|Ground cloves||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Black pepper||1 Dash|
Marinate the chicken pieces in the soy sauce mixed with the onion, garlic, and ginger for 3 to 4 hours.
Drain and arrange chicken in a shallow greased baking pan.
Mix remaining ingredients, sprinkle over chicken, and bake in a 325° oven about 1 hour, or until tender, turning once.
