Sweet Filled Wontons
|Pitted dates||8 Ounce (Red Colored)|
|Sesame seeds||2 Tablespoon|
|Dark corn syrup||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Wonton wrappers||1 Pound (1 Package)|
|Peanut oil/Vegetable oil||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Confectioners sugar||1 Tablespoon|
Cook the red dates in 1/2 cup water for about 20 minutes.
Grind dates and sesame seeds.
Moisten with syrup.
Place about 1/2 tsp date and sesame seed mixture in the center of each wonton and fold and wrap into the shape of a nurse's cap.
Deep fry the wontons in oil at medium high heat until golden brown.
Remove to paper towels and cool slightly.
Sprinkle with confectioner's sugar.
