Chinese Oven Barbecued Spareribs

I made this Chinese Oven Barbecued Spareribs last weekend for a change, when some unexpected guests visited. It was a tremendous success. Try this wonderful Chinese Oven Barbecued Spareribs recipe for yourself!
Ingredients
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), crushed
  Dark soy sauce 3 Tablespoon
  Dry sherry 2 Tablespoon
  Grated fresh ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Sesame oil 1⁄2 Tablespoon
  Five spice powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hoisin sauce 1 Tablespoon
  Tabasco 1 Dash (Adjust Quantity As Per Taste)
  Catsup/Tomato sauce / tomato paste 1 Tablespoon
  Pork spareribs 3 Pound
Directions

Mix well all the ingredients except the ribs.
Use to marinate the pork spareribs for 2 hours in the refrigerator.
Place on a roasting rack in a 350° oven for 1 hour.
Turn temperature up to 400°, and roast for an additional 15 minutes, or until browned and deliciously tender.
It is a good idea to place a baking pan containing about 1 inch water in the oven beneath these ribs as they cook; it will prevent the sauce from dripping on the floor of the oven and causing smoke.
