Sweet And Sour Sauce With Apples

This delicious Sweet And Sour Sauce should not be missed. The flavors of this wonderful Sweet And Sour Sauce adds a memorable taste to any dish it is used in. Trust me, you will love it!
Ingredients
  Lean bacon slices 3
  Bay leaf 1 Small
  Raspberry wine vinegar/White wine vinegar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cloves 2
  Garlic clove 1 Small, pressed
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Tabasco sauce To Taste
  Apple juice 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Arrowroot 3 Tablespoon
  Apples 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), diced
  Cold water 2 Tablespoon
  Cinnamon 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Salt To Taste
  Pepper To Taste
Directions

Fry the bacon until it is very crisp.
Drain well.
Crumble the bacon.
Reserve.
Add the vinegar, sugar, apple juice, apples, cinnamon, bay leaf, cloves, garlic, and 4 to 6 drops of Tabasco sauce to the fat left in the skillet.
Simmer, uncovered, for 20 minutes.
Discard the bay leaf and cloves.
Dissolve the arrowroot in the cold water.
Add to the sauce.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
Add the crumbled bacon.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
