Spiced Mandarin Oranges

Ingredients
  Tangerine 1 Small (Orange Can Be Substituted)
  Canned mandarin oranges 22 Ounce
  Water 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cinnamon stick 2 Inch
Directions

Remove peel from tangerine; cut into paper-thin strips.
Squeeze juice; strain.
In medium-size saucepan combine peel and juice with rest of ingredients; simmer 15 minutes.
Remove from heat; remove peel and cinnamon.
Chill several hours
