Favorite Chili Con Carne
|Chopped onion||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Garlic||3 Clove (15 gm), minced|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Vegetable oil||2 Tablespoon|
|Lean ground beef||2 Pound|
|Tomatoes||4 Large, peeled and quartered|
|Cooked kidney beans||4 Cup (64 tbs), drained|
|Chili powder||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Saute onion, garlic, and green pepper in hot oil in a Dutch oven.
Add ground beef, cook over medium heat until browned, stirring to crumble beef.
Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
