Favorite Chili Con Carne

Ingredients
  Chopped onion 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Garlic 3 Clove (15 gm), minced
  Chopped green pepper 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Lean ground beef 2 Pound
  Tomatoes 4 Large, peeled and quartered
  Cooked kidney beans 4 Cup (64 tbs), drained
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Chili powder 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Saute onion, garlic, and green pepper in hot oil in a Dutch oven.
Add ground beef, cook over medium heat until browned, stirring to crumble beef.
Drain well.
Add remaining ingredients, bring to a boil.
Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
