Beef And Kidney Bean Chili
|Ground beef||1 Pound|
|Chopped onion||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Canned stewed tomatoes||16 Ounce|
|Tomato sauce||8 Ounce|
|Canned kidney beans||15 1⁄4 Ounce (Drained)|
|Green pepper||1 Small, chopped|
|Parsley flakes||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dried oregano||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Chili powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
Crumble ground beef into 2-quart bowl.
Microwave 4 to 5 minutes on HIGH, or until meat is no longer pink, stirring once.
Add remaining ingredients.
Cover with waxed paper or paper towel.
Microwave 10 minutes on '8', or until hot, stirring once.
Note: Recipe can be doubled easily, using a 4-quart bowl.
First cooking period Microwave 10 to 12 minutes on HIGH.
Second cooking period Microwave 15 minutes on HIGH, stirring twice.
For ovens without solid state heat control, during second cooking period Microwave 8 minutes on HIGH, stirring twice.
