While chili is cooking, shred or break lettuce and chop tomatoes. To serve, place 1/2 cup corn chips in bottom of soup bowl; pour chili mixture over corn chips, and top with lettuce and tomatoes. Sprinkle with grated cheese. To make a party dish of this or any chili, omit tomatoes and lettuce. Serve with a dollop of sour cream and a wedge of fresh lime to squeeze over it.
