|Ground beef||2 Pound|
|Onion||1 Large, chopped for 1 cup|
|Thinly sliced celery||1 Cup (16 tbs), thinly sliced|
|Canned stewed tomatoes||1 Pound (1 Can)|
|Canned whole kernel corn||16 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Canned chopped ripe olives||4 1⁄2 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Bottled chili sauce||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Garlic salt||2 Teaspoon|
|Split hamburger buns||16 , buttered|
1 In a kettle or Dutch oven,shape ground beef into a large patty .
2 Brown for 5 minutes on each side, then break up into chunks.
3 Stir in onion and celery; cook, stirring several times for 5 minutes longer.
4 Stir in tomatoes, corn and liquid, olives, chili sauce, salt, garlic salt, pepper and bay leaf; cover.
5 Simmer for 15 minutes to blend the flavors. Remove the bay leaf.
6 Spoon onto split hamburger buns.
