First prepare the sauce.
Melt the butter in a pan, add the onions and cook gently until soft.
Add the tomatoes with their juice and the remaining ingredients, with salt and pepper to taste.
Simmer for about 20 minutes, until thickened.
Meanwhile, cook the sausages according to instructions.
Split the rolls and put a sausage in each.
Pour a little sauce over each hot dog.
