Hominy Chili Casserole
|Whole white hominy||1 3⁄4 Pound, drained (2 Large Cans)|
|Grated onion||3 Tablespoon|
|Sour cream/Cream sauce||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Shredded jack cheese||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Canned peeled green chilies||6 , rinsed of seeds, cut in small pieces|
|Fine dry crumbs||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Mixed With Butter)|
|Melted butter||3 Teaspoon|
Mix hominy carefully with onion, sour cream or cream sauce, jack cheese, green chilies, and salt to taste.
Put into a 2 1/2 or 3-quart casserole, sprinkle the top with buttered bread crumbs, and bake, uncovered, in moderate oven (350°) about 30 minutes, or until heated through.
Set under the broiler to brown top.
