Chili Con Carne
|Ground beef||4 Pound|
|Ground lean pork||2 Pound|
|Chopped onion||6 Cup (96 tbs)|
|Diced celery||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Tomatoes||4 Pound (4 Cans, 1 Pound Each)|
|Tomato puree||2 Pound (2 Cans, 1 Pound Each)|
|Kidney beans||8 Pound (8 Cans, 1 Pound Each)|
|Salt||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chili powder||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Brown meats in shallow pans in preheated broiler.
Pour off drippings into heavy kettle.
Add onion and celery to drippings and cook for 5 minutes.
Add meat and remaining ingredients and cook, uncovered, over low heat about 2 hours, stirring frequently.
