Golden Sauced Franks
|Canned pineapple chunks||15 1⁄4 Ounce|
|Canned sweet potatoes||34 Ounce, cut up (Two 17 Ounce Cans)|
|Frankfurters||1 3⁄4 Pound, cut in 1-inch pieces (12 To 15)|
|Packed brown sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Finely shredded orange peel||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Orange juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chili sauce||2 Tablespoon|
Drain pineapple, reserving syrup.
In 3-quart casserole combine pineapple, sweet potatoes, and franks.
In small saucepan combine brown sugar and cornstarch.
Stir in reserved pineapple syrup, orange peel, orange juice, water, vinegar, and chili sauce.
Cook and stir over medium heat till thickened and bubbly.
Pour over mixture in casserole.
Cover and bake at 350° till heated through, 25 to 30 minutes.
