Tofu Chili

Ingredients
  Vegetable oil 2 Tablespoon
  Garlic 1 Clove (5 gm), finely chopped
  Green peppers 2 Small, seeded and chopped
  Onion 1 Large, finely chopped
  Chili powder 4 Teaspoon
  Ground cumin 1 Teaspoon
  Red pepper flakes 1 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Dried oregano 1 Teaspoon
  Canned crushed tomatoes 28 Ounce, in puree (1 Can)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Tofu 1⁄2 Pound, drained and crumbled, mixed with a little gravy browning, if you wish
  Canned cannellini beans 20 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Canned kidney beans 20 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
Directions

1. Heat oil in a heavy saucepan and saute the garlic, green pepper, and onion until tender but not browned.
2. Sprinkle with chili powder, cumin, and pepper flakes. Cook, stirring, for 1 minute.
3. Add the oregano, tomatoes, salt, and tofu. Bring to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the beans.
