Chick Peas

Ingredients
  Dried chickpeas 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Cold water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vegetable broth cubes/Vegetable broth powder 4 Ounce
  Cider vinegar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Vegetable oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Garlic 2 Clove (10 gm), very finely minced
  Freshly ground black pepper To Taste
  Salt To Taste
  Herb To Taste
Directions

1. Pick over and wash the chickpeas and put in a bowl. Pour in enough water to cover the peas. Let stand overnight.
2. Next day, drain the peas and put them in a kettle with 5 cups of water. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer for 2 hours, or until tender.
3. Add remaining ingredients and simmer until tender, about 30 minutes. Sprinkle over and serve.
