An easy stir-fried dish, Basil Chicken is popular in Thai cuisine. In Basil Chicken, boneless slivers of chicken are tossed in garlic, green onions, peppers, seasoning, fresh basil and fish sauce. White wine or soy sauce may also be added to the Basil Chicken for added flavor. To give the dish a fruity flavor, orange juice and zest are sometimes also used. Basil chicken is usually served on a bed of hot steamed rice and topped with a fried egg.
