Barbecued Chicken-Teri

Ingredients
  Washington fryer 1 Large
  Strained apricots 9 Ounce (Baby Food)
  Soy sauce 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Lemon juice 1⁄8 Cup (2 tbs)
  Honey 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Onion 1 Small, minced
  Beer 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Grated pepper 1⁄8 Tablespoon
  Snipped parsley 1 Teaspoon
  Oregano 1⁄8 Teaspoon
Directions

Combine all marinade ingredients in large bowl.
Place chicken in marinade and turn to coat evenly.
Let stand for 2 to 4 hours (or overnight in refrigerator), turning occasionally.
When ready to cook, remove chicken and set marinade aside.
Place chicken on spit and cook over low coals for about 1 hour.
During the last 20 minutes, baste frequently with marinade.
Heat remaining marinade in dripping pan or on grill and serve as sauce.
