Chicken Casserole With Cheese
|Stewing chicken||5 Pound, cut into serving pieces (1 whole)|
|Olive oil||4 Tablespoon|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Hot water||2 Cup (32 tbs) (to cover chicken)|
|Fat||4 Tablespoon, melted|
|Worcestershire sauce||1 Teaspoon|
|Chicken stock||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Grated cheese||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Soft bread crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Combine olive oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper and let pieces of chicken stand in this dressing overnight.Drain.
Cover chicken with hot water and simmer until tender drain off stock and save.
Blend melted fat and flour, add Worcestershire sauce and stock and cook until thickened, stirring constantly.
Place chicken in greased -casserole and pour sauce over.
Cover and bake, in moderate oven (350 F.) about 20 minutes then remove cover, sprinkle with grated cheese and bread crumbs and bake uncovered until top is well-browned.
