Chicken Cacciatore With Garbanzo Beans

Ingredients
  Broiler fryer chicken 3 Pound, cut up
  Onion 1 Medium, sliced
  Canned italian-style tomatoes 1 Pound (1 Can)
  Tomato paste 6 Ounce (1 Can)
  Water 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dry red wine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Parsley flakes 1 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Teaspoon
  Basil leaves 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Whole oregano 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Thyme leaves 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Garlic powder 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Black pepper 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Canned garbanzo beans 1 Pound, drained (1 Can)
  Canned mushroom stems and pieces 4 Ounce, drained (1 Can)
  Hot buttered spaghetti 1 Cup (16 tbs)
Directions

Place chicken pieces in a 4 qt.glass casserole dish.
Arrange thicker pieces toward outside of dish and thinner pieces toward center.
Layer onion slices over top.
Combine tomatoes, tomato paste, water, wine and spices.
Pour over chicken.
Cover and microwave 15 minutes.
Stir, cover and microwave on DEFROST 45 to 60 minutes [SIMMER-4, 30 to 45 minutes].
Add beans and mushrooms.
Cover and microwave 5 to 7 minutes.
Let stand 5 minutes.
