Whole Wheat Pasta, Chicken Breast, and Vegetables

The combination of whole wheat pasta, chicken and vegetables is wholesome and healthy. It makes a complete meal and gives all the goodness of chicken and vegetables. The pasta gets its flavor from the chicken and vegetables.
  Boneless skinless chicken breast 6
  Whole wheat penne pasta 1 Pound
  Onion 1 Medium, chopped
  Mushrooms 2 Cup (32 tbs), sliced
  Broccoli florets 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Diced tomatoes 1 1⁄2 Can (15 oz)
  Tomato sauce 1 1⁄2 Can (15 oz)
  Chopped garlic 2 Tablespoon
  Dried basil/Fresh basil 1 Tablespoon
  Italian seasoning 1 Tablespoon
  Olive oil 2 Tablespoon

Pre-heat oven 400 degrees.

Spray baking dish with olive oil spray. Place chicken in baking dish, salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning. Bake chicken for 20 minutes at 400 degrees.

Place pot on medium high heat. Add olive oil, and saute onions and mushrooms, till onions are translucent. Add chopped garlic. Add diced tomatoes and tomato sauce. Sprinkle in basil and add salt and pepper to taste. Right at the end add broccoli florets.

Remove chicken from oven and dice or slice. Place in a bowl and set aside.

Cook pasta according to box directions and drain.

Add diced chicken and pasta to sauce, mix well.
