Simple Roasted Chicken

|Cooking spray||1 Tablespoon|
|Dried oregano||1 Teaspoon|
Preheat oven to 450Â°.
Remove giblets and neck from chicken; discard.
Rinse chicken under cold water; pat dry.
Trim excess fat.
Place chicken on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray.
Insert meat thermometer into meaty part of thigh, making sure not to touch bone.
Coat chicken with cooking spray; sprinkle with herbs, salt, and pepper.
Bake at 450Â° for 30 minutes.
Reduce oven temperature to 400Â°; bake an additional 45 minutes or until thermometer registers 180Â°.
Discard skin before serving.
