Chicken A La King
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Chopped onion||2 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Diced cooked chicken/2 cans (5 or 6 ounces each) boned chicken, diced||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Diced pimientos||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||4 Ounce|
Melt butter or margarine in medium-size saucepan; remove from heat.
Blend in flour, onion, salt, and Worcestershire sauce; stir in milk.
Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until sauce thickens and boils 1 minute.
Stir in chicken, pimiento, and mushrooms; heat through.
Serve over hot buttered rice or toast, if desired.
