Chicken With 40 Cloves Of Garlic

Ingredients
  Chicken thighs 5
  Chicken breast halves 5
  Garlic 40 Clove (200 gm), unpeeled and left whole
  Carrots 2 , sliced
  Kohlrabi 2 , diced
  Celery stalks 2 , sliced
  Thyme 1 Teaspoon
  Rosemary 1 Teaspoon
  Tarragon 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Black pepper 1 Teaspoon
  Parsley sprigs 4 (for garnish)
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Wash and dry chicken.
2. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.

MAKING
3. Broil the chicken for 10 minutes till its skin is crisp and brown.
4. In a roasting pan place the chicken. Add celery, herbs, carrots, cloves, garlic and kohlrabi.
5. Bake for 75 minutes covered. Uncover and bake 15 minutes more.
6. Check if chicken is done ny inserting a fork and checking if its juice is running clear.
7. In a platter transfer the chicken.
8. Remove garlic cloves and scatter them around the chicken.
9. Spoon the vegetables on chicken.

FINALIZING
10. Sprinkle pepper and salt.

SERVING
11. Serve chicken with 40 cloves of gralices with green salad, baked potatoes and crusty bread.
