Spicy Chicken Wings

|Chicken wing drummettes||14|
|All purpose flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Garlic powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Egg whites||2 , lightly beaten|
|Dry plain bread crumbs||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Reduced sodium soy sauce||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Crushed red pepper||1⁄8 Teaspoon|
|Hot pepper sauce||1 Dash|
To make the chicken wings: Preheat the oven to 400°.
Spray a cookie sheet with no-stick spray.
Using kitchen shears, remove the skin from the chicken drummettes.
On a piece of wax paper, combine the flour, garlic powder and pepper.
Roll the chicken in the flour mixture, then dip into the egg whites.
Finally, roll the pieces in the bread crumbs.
Place the coated chicken on the prepared cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
Turn the wings over and bake about 15 minutes more or until no longer pink.
Transfer to a platter.
To make the sauce: In a small bowl, stir together the soy sauce, sugar, red pepper and hot-pepper sauce. (If you prefer a hotter sauce, stir in additional hot-pepper sauce.)
Pour the sauce over the chicken and serve.
