Frances' Roast Chicken
|Whole frying chicken||4 Pound|
|Onion||1⁄2 , chopped|
|Celery ribs||1 , chopped|
|Poultry seasoning||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Dried basil||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
1) Marinate chicken with salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning.
2) Stuff chicken with onion and celery.
3) In a slow cooker, add the chicken, sprinkle basil, cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.
4) Garnish and serve.
