Roast Chicken In A Bag
|Roasting chicken||5 Pound|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Salt||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Paprika pepper||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cooking oil||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Stuffing||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
Rub chicken inside and out with lemon.
Combine butter, salt and pepper.
Rub chicken with butter mixture, coating back lightly and coating breast and thighs heavily.
Sprinkle with paprika; chill.
Pour oil into brown paper bag; shake until bag is well oiled.
Place bag in baking pan.
Stuff chicken lightly with stuffing.
Place chicken in oiled bag, breast side up.
Twist end of bag shut; tie with cord or wire.
Bake at 325 degrees for 4 hours.
Do not open bag while baking.
