Flavored Chicken A La King
|Butter/Margarine||4 Tablespoon (1/2 Stick)|
|All purpose flour||4 Tablespoon|
|Finely chopped onion||2 Tablespoon|
|Worcestershire sauce||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Diced cooked chicken||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Diced pimientos||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (About 2 In Number)|
|Canned sliced mushrooms||4 Ounce (1 Can)|
1. In a medium-size saucepan melt butter or margarine and remove from heat.
2. Then blend in flour, onion, salt and Worcestershire sauce, stir in milk and cook over low heat with constant stirring such that sauce thickens and boils for 1 minute.
3. Stir in chicken, pimiento and mushrooms and heat through.
4. To serve spread over hot buttered rice or toast, if desired.
