Country Fried Chicken
|Broiler fryers||4 Pound, cut into serving size pieces (2 Whole, 2 Pound Each)|
|Unsifted all purpose flour||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Bacon drippings||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm)|
|Milk gravy||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Adjust Quantity As Needed)|
1.Rinse the chicken pieces thoroughly and dry them.
2.In a paper bag, put flour, salt, paprika and pepper; put chicken pieces few at a time in it and shake to coat well.
3.In an electric skillet, heat bacon drippins by adding whole cloves of garlic and bay leaf.
4.Put chicken in the skillet in a single layer in such a way that the pieces do not touch each other.
5.Brown the pieces (in parts) evenly from both sides by cooking for 30 minutes.
6.Once all pieces are done, put them in the skillet and cook on low flame for 20 minutes after covering.
7.Cook for 5 more minutes withot the cover.
Serve the chicken warm with milk gravy.
