Skillet Cherry Chicken

Ingredients
  Cherry preserves 12 Ounce
  Lemon juice 2 Tablespoon
  Whole cloves 4
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Allspice 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Mace 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Fryer chicken 3 Pound
  Salad oil 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
Directions

Blend together cherry preserves, lemon juice, cloves, salt, allspice, and mace; set aside.
Combine flour and salt in paper or plastic bag.
Add 2 or 3 pieces of chicken at a time; shake to coat.
Brown chicken in oil in skillet over medium heat, turning with tongs.
Cover; cook 15 minutes.
Drain off fat; add cherry sauce.
Cover; simmer, over very low heat, skin side up 15 minutes.
Turn; simmer 15 minutes longer or till tender.
