Chicken Fried Steak
|Lean round steak||1 Pound, well trimmed|
|Garlic powder||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Skim milk||1 Tablespoon|
|Fine low sodium cracker crumbs||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
1. Pound steak to tenderize. Season with pepper and garlic. Cut into serving-size pieces.
2. Combine egg whites and skim milk. Dip meat in egg mixture and then into cracker crumbs.
3. Brown coated steak on both sides in oil.
4. Cover and cook over low heat until tender, about 45 minutes.
