|Chicken breasts||14 Ounce (4 Pieces, 3 1/2 Ounce Each)|
|Unsweetened pineapple juice||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Unsalted defatted chicken broth||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Granulated garlic||1 Pinch|
|White pepper||To Taste|
Remove all visible fat from the chicken.
Brown in a hot (500°) oven for 15 minutes.
Drain off all excess fat.
As soon as the chicken has browned, reduce the oven to 325°.
Combine the pineapple juice, chicken broth garlic, and white pepper and baste the chicken frequently while baking.
Sprinkle the chicken pieces with the slivered almonds just before serving.
