Baked Chicken Breasts
|Chicken breasts||4 (Young Variety)|
|Thick sour cream||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Thin broiled ham slices||4|
|Sliced broiled mushrooms||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Butter||1 Tablespoon (Extra Required For Baking Pan)|
1. Start oven, set at 425° F., or Hot. Grease a baking pan.
2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper; dip them in the cream and sprinkle lightly with flour.
3. Melt 2 tablespoons of the butter or margarine in a frying pan and saute the breasts until light golden brown.
4. Remove from the pan and arrange the chicken in the baking pan; dot with the remaining butter or margarine. Bake 15 minutes, basting every 5 minutes with the drippings in the pan.
