Apple Spiced Chicken Broil
|Broiler fryer chicken||3 Pound, quartered (1 Chicken, 2 1/2 To 3 Pound)|
|Cooking oil||1 Tablespoon|
|Apple jelly||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Lemon juice||1 Tablespoon|
|Ground allspice||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
Break joints of chicken; brush with oil.
Season with a little salt and pepper.
Place, skin side down, in broiler pan.
Broil 5 to 6 inches from heat about 20 minutes or till lightly browned.
Turn; broil for 15 to 20 minutes more or till tender.
Meanwhile, in small saucepan melt jelly over low heat.
Stir in lemon juice and allspice.
Brush chicken with half the glaze; broil 1 to 2 minutes more.
Brush with remaining glaze before serving.
