Buttermilk Fried Chicken
|Chicken||3 Pound, cut up|
|Buttermilk||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Seasoned salt||4 Teaspoon|
|Black pepper||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Oil||4 Cup (64 tbs) (For deep frying)|
Dip chicken in buttermilk.
Combine flour, cornmeal, salt and pepper in a grocery sack.
Place chicken in bag, 3 pieces at a time and shake till well coated.
Do an hour ahead if possible, so coating can set.
Heat oil in large frying pan (or wok).
Fry chicken about 30-40 min.in frying pan (15-20 min.in wok) or till done.
Handle chicken as little as possible while frying.
