Chicken Livers Superb

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Chicken livers 1 Pound, cut in half
  Finely chopped onion 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Freshly ground pepper To Taste
  Sliced fresh mushrooms 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Flour 1 Tablespoon
  Half and half 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Or Light Cream)
  Brandy 2 Tablespoon
  Patty shells 4
  Toast pieces 4
  Crisp bacon curls 4
Directions

Heat butter in blazer pan over moderate heat.
Add chicken livers, onion, salt and pepper.
Saute slowly until chicken livers are just cooked through (about 10 minutes ).
Add mushrooms during last half of cooking time.
Sprinkle flour over chicken livers and place over boiling water in pan.
Slowly add half-and-half, stirring carefully.
Cook until sauce is thickened.
Stir in brandy
