Chicken Cheese Puff
|Chopped cooked chicken||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Hard cooked egg||1 , chopped|
|Chopped celery||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Pickle relish||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Mayonnaise||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sharp process american cheese||1⁄2 Pound, softened at room temperature|
|Egg||1 , well beaten|
|Prepared mustard||1 Tablespoon|
|Buttered white bread slices||12|
Combine first 6 ingredients.
Combine cheese and egg; blend with rotary beater or electric mixer; add mayonnaise and mustard; blend.
Spread chicken mixture on 6 slices of bread.
Top with remaining bread.
Toast in broiler till golden on one side; turn and pile cheese mixture on each.
Broil 3 to 4 inches from heat 2 to 3 minutes, or till slightly browned.
