Spicy Chicken Pieces
|Soy sauce||250 Milliliter (1 Cup)|
|Vegetable oil||125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)|
|Grated fresh ginger||15 Milliliter (1 Tablespoon)|
|Chicken stock||125 Milliliter (1/2 Cup)|
|Chinese five spice powder||2 Teaspoon (10 Milliliter)|
|Honey||45 Milliliter (3 Tablespoon)|
|Chicken pieces||3 Pound (1.5 Kilogram)|
Combine first 6 ingredients in a small saucepan and heat until simmering.
Remove from heat.
Pat chicken pieces dry with paper towels and place in a large dish.
Pour over soy sauce mixture, cover and refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
Lift chicken pieces from marinade, arrange in baking dish and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 30 minutes, basting occasionally with remaining marinade.
To test if chicken is cooked, pierce flesh with a skewer.
The juices should run clear without any signs of pink.
