Country Roasted Chicken Dinner
|Savory herb with garlic soup mix||1 1⁄4 Ounce (1 Envelope Lipton Recipe Secrets)|
|Butter/Margarine||1 Tablespoon, melted|
|All purpose potatoes/Sweet potatoes / both||3 Pound, cut into chunks|
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In small bowl, blend savory herb with garlic soup mix, honey, water and butter.
In 18xl2-inch roasting pan, arrange chicken, breast side up; brush with soup mixture.
Cover loosely with aluminum foil.
Roast 30 minutes; drain.
Arrange potatoes around chicken and continue roasting covered, stirring potatoes occasionally, 1 hour or until meat thermometer reaches 175 F and potatoes are tender.
If chicken reaches 17 5°F before potatoes are tender, remove chicken to serving platter and keep warm.
Continue roasting potatoes until tender.
