Crush enough cereal to measure 3/4 c. (190 ml) in a shallow dish.
Lightly beat together the egg and milk.
Add flour, salt, pepper, sage and cheese, stirring until smooth.
Dip chicken pieces in the egg mixture.
Coat with crushed cereal.
Place in a single layer, skin side up, in greased or foil-lined, shallow baking pan.
Drizzle with margarine.
Bake, uncovered, at 350°F (175°C) for about 45 minutes or until tender, without turning chicken while baking.
