Chicken A La King
|Canned mushrooms||2 Ounce, drained (1 Can Or 1/3 Cup)|
|Chopped green pepper||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Flour||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs) (Gold Medal)|
|Chicken broth||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Milk/Cream||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cooked chicken||1 Cup (16 tbs), diced|
|Chopped pimiento||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Saute mushrooms and green pepper in butter.
Blend in flour and seasonings.
Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Slowly stir in broth and milk.
Bring to boil over low heat, stirring constantly.
Boil 1 min.
Add chicken and pimiento.
Continue cooking until meat is heated through.
