|Chicken||1 , cut into serving pieces|
|Onions||3 , grated|
|Canned tomato paste||6 Ounce (1 Can)|
|Water||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Mixed spices||To Taste|
|Whole white onions||4|
|Kefalotiri/Romano cheese||1 Cup (16 tbs), cubed|
Brown chicken in oil or butter.
Add onions and tomato paste with enough water to cover.
Add mixed spices and bay leaves tied in a cloth bag.
Remove chicken when cooked.
Add whole white onions and hard cheese to sauce remaining in kettle and cook until tender.
Cheese may be fried in oil first before being added to sauce.
Add chicken, heat, and serve.
