Braised Chick Peas
|Peeled chopped tomatoes||2 Cup (32 tbs), drained|
|Garlic||2 Clove (10 gm), crushed|
|Parsley||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
|Onions||4 , finely chopped|
|Freshly ground black pepper||To Taste|
Soak chick peas in water overnight.
Drain and transfer to a heavy kettle or Dutch oven.
Add water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 4 hours.
When soft add garlic, onion, tomatoes, parsley or mint, and salt and pepper.
Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes longer.
